Okay, so I’m copycatting! So what? It’s fun. Natasha posted the following questions on her blog and it has gotten me thinking about books, what I like, my choices, etc…
What book(s) made you a better writer?
Definitely not any of the writing self-help ones! LOL… however, I did like Stephen King’s “On Writing.” And I have always admired Amanda Quick’s witty dialogue and excellent pacing. Oh, and of course “Strunk & White’s Elements of Style,” the grammar bible.
What book(s) made you cry?
“Marley and Me” is all I can think of right now. (I was on a plane when I read it, and I was blubbering like a baby. The guy next to me kept scooting farther and farther away… lol…) But there have been many others.
What book(s) made you laugh until you were in tears?
The Stephanie Plum series by Janet Evanovich. In “Hard Eight”, when Stephanie is getting chased down the street by Bill Clinton, Richard Nixon and the Easter Bunny, I almost peed my pants I was laughing so hard!
What book(s) made you feel like you could conquer the world?
I don’t have an answer for this one. I’m sure I’ve finished reading something and been all “huzzah!” about it, but as far as conquering the world?
What book(s) have you read three times or more?
So many!!! Gone With The Wind, The Stand, a series by Marsha Canham that begins with “Through A Dark Mist”, Lord of the Flies, my very first ‘romance’ novel titled “Liliane”, Black Beauty, the Harry Potter books, Alice in Wonderland… there’s tons of picture books and easy readers that I’ve read a gazillion times, like “If I Ran The Circus” by Dr. Seuss and “The Bike Lesson” by the Berenstains.
What book(s) kept you up all night reading?
Wow, there are way too many to list. I think the last one I stayed up until “The End” for was “Silent on the Moor” by Deanna Raybourn. Love her stuff!
What book(s) do you want to read again?
Persuasion, Atlas Shrugged
Feel free to add your answers in comments, or start your own meme on your blog!

Alice in Wonderland! I added that to my list, too. And The Stand. Can you believe I’ve never read it?!
Thanks, Elizabeth!
The Stand is pretty hefty–might be more than a one day read. However you could tuck in a short one somewhere and count that too!
Are you keeping a list to post on the blog?
Yeah, but I haven’t finished it yet.
Hoping to be done soon!
